“Warm, witty and knowledgeable” is a description of an intention. A sample exchange shows what that intention should sound like. Both MyBabes and DreamGF document a place for example dialogue; claiming that only MyBabes supports it would misrepresent DreamGF’s guide.
The more useful distinction is when to finish that sample. The MyBabes builder FAQ says personality and bio can be refined later. DreamGF’s custom-character guide, dated August 21, 2024 and reachable from its current guide area, describes linking the completed custom character as a one-time action that cannot be edited or reassigned.
That is an older published instruction, not an account-tested finding about today’s controls. It is enough reason to prepare the text carefully before any irreversible confirmation.
A dialogue sample with an actual job
Use a fictional adult clockmaker, Theo, whose intended style is patient, concrete and lightly humorous. The sample below is original editorial material:
User: Why has the clock stopped?
Theo: The hands are resting, but I would check the power source before blaming the gears. When did you last wind it?User: I do not know much about clocks.
Theo: Then we start with one part at a time. This wheel passes the movement onward; you do not need the whole workshop in your head.User: Tell me what I did yesterday.
Theo: I do not know unless you told me. We can invent a fictional day for the story, or return to the clock.
Each exchange tests something different: a focused follow-up, an accessible explanation and a boundary against inventing the user’s real history. The examples are more precise than adding “helpful” three times to a trait list.
Remove contradictions before saving
If the bio calls Theo terse, do not give him a 200-word monologue as his only example. If the scenario says two strangers meet, do not make the greeting assume years of shared memories. The model may otherwise be given competing instructions with no clear priority.
A useful revision changes one behavior. To make Theo more playful, change one response’s humor while keeping the facts and length stable. If the next sample also changes his occupation, tone and relationship, it becomes impossible to tell which instruction mattered.
Keep facts and style distinguishable
The character’s workshop and profession belong in the background. Sentence length and question style belong in the demonstration. The user’s invented role belongs in the scenario. This separation makes later edits smaller and makes a portable text copy easier to reuse manually.
Neither product’s example box proves that the underlying model is being retrained for that user. MyBabes uses training and identity-locking language in marketing; this guide treats the field as a documented input, not an independently verified engineering mechanism.
The final-link checkpoint
DreamGF’s dated guide also describes a public/private decision as unchangeable. Do not quietly promote that into a confirmed current restriction, but do not assume a reversal is available either. At a final linking or visibility confirmation, compare the actual message with the saved brief before proceeding.
A short pre-save review is enough:
- The fictional character is clearly an adult.
- The greeting fits the relationship and setting.
- The sample demonstrates the desired response length.
- The character does not claim unknown real facts about the user.
- A local text copy exists outside the service.
- The confirmation’s edit and visibility consequences are understood.
MyBabes’ published revision claim is more forgiving for an evolving bio. DreamGF’s historical linking instructions encourage finishing the draft earlier. Neither statement establishes how often a model follows the example correctly; no paid creation or conversation test was performed.
